Non-Exploitation & Fair Trade
Exploitation of people by businesses and industries can take many forms and in some industries, human trafficking, child labor, slavery, and environmental injustice are the norm. Communities are frequently undercompensated (or not compensated at all) for use of their natural resources, and it’s still a regular practice to impose substandard or even dangerous working conditions to employees without providing fair compensation or benefits. You choose to support companies and brands that do not earn profits from exploiting communities or workers, and who are committed to ethical practices, Fair & Direct Trade, and environmental & social justice.
